### What we like

Supports true color (up to 16 million), which means it supports images in the terminal (Sixel / iTerm2 image protocol). Font ligatures and RetroArch shaders. Copies Vi mode from Alacritty. Split panels and multi-window support. Single (Rust) binary with support for all major OSs.

### Tradeoffs

Great cross-platform hardware accelerated terminal, but if you want something that feels more integrated into your OS then Ghostty is more platform-native.

### Why consider it

Developers can use RioTerm for its true color support and image rendering in the terminal.

### Keep in mind

RioTerm may not feel as integrated into the operating system as other options.
