What we like

Full Node/NPM compatibility means you can now use it as a drop-in replacement. Has native TypeScript support. Capabilities-based security approach improves local dev security (installing dependencies can’t do whatever they like on your machine). Built-in linting, formatting, benchmarking. Workspaces and monorepo support.

Tradeoffs

Even with these nice features, ecosystem inertia is the biggest migration hurdle i.e. if you have a problem with a common tool or library, few existing issues, tutorials, etc will assume Deno.
