What we like
Client-side JS library for building local-first browser apps. Handles sync, conflicts, encryption, network connectivity, etc. The database is document oriented. Reactive APIs provide real-time UI updates by default, making collaborative apps easy to build. Works on any platform and can connect with backend storage on S3.
Tradeoffs
Connecting to S3 is still experimental and not straightforward to set up.
