Console’s review

· Reviewed by David Mytton

What we like

Extends HTML to allow building web apps. No need to wait for client-side JS - content streamed in, but optional support for async sections. State declared in markup with updates auto-propagated. Zero config setup using Vite. Supports various styling options, including CSS modules and imported styles.

Tradeoffs

Lots of custom tags which means it’s not really HTML.

Console is a free weekly newsletter with short reviews of developer tools, covering strengths and tradeoffs. This review reflects our assessment at publication. Read our selection criteria and learn about Console.
