What we like
Install the app (Android or iOS) and POST to the API to send yourself a notification. Can be a very simple message or include custom titles, priority (Android only), scheduled delivery, action buttons, attachments, icons. Also supports email and a CLI for notifications. Free hosted by the author, or open source so you can run your own private server.
Tradeoffs
Topics are open with read/write access by anyone - access control is supported and you can run your own server to protect it further.
