Console’s review

What we like

Deploy functions, durable actors, and containers. Durable actors can be rescheduled with graceful shutdowns. Actors can be written in JS, Python, Rust, and support storing state in a k/v style datastore, or external SQL e.g. Postgres. Networking e.g URLs and port mapping handled for you. Can run everything locally.

Tradeoffs

In theory you can self-host rather than using their cloud platform, but the docs only cover setting up dev environments rather than production.
