What we like
Designed as an alternative to Vite and Create React App/Webpack. Compiles TypeScript, Sass, Wasm, JSX. Handles image compression, CSS builds e.g. PostCSS, and type checking. Not tied to a UI framework, supporting them through plugins for React, Vue, Svelte, etc. Part of an ecosystem of tools e.g. Rspack for bundling, Rspress for static site generation.
Tradeoffs
Rebuilds every time - incremental builds are coming in the next version. Supports migrating from many common Webpack plugins, but needs manual work.
