What we like

Not Electron, so no bundled browser - uses the system native webview (macOS WebKit, Windows WebView2, Linux WebKitGTK). Native chrome with system API access e.g. files, sockets, processes. Small app bundles (runtime is 6MB). Everything is HTML inside.

Tradeoffs

Everything is HTML, so whilst the wrapper feels native, the app isn’t.

Who it’s for

Why consider it

tinyjs allows for small app bundles with a runtime of 6MB

Keep in mind

The app itself isn't native, despite the native wrapper
