What we like
Full VS Code instance running in the cloud accessed from your browser. Linux-backed so it works with all types of applications. Connected to Gemini for AI chat and autocomplete. Customize the environment with Nix. Web preview. Sharable workspaces (or temporarily share previews). Common framework templates and quick connections to deploying on GCP.
Tradeoffs
Unclear where the files actually are i.e. you can’t SSH into the machine. Best connect it to a remote Git provider! Can’t change the environment CPU, memory, etc.
