What we like
Faster performance with a smaller ESM-first bundle. Drop in update from previous version. Generated client no longer buried in node_modules. Now supports mapped enums. New Prisma Studio UI visualizes database inspection.
Tradeoffs
Using an ORM is probably a mistake for all but the smallest side project.
